‘Take a Walk’ for Education on Saturday

Join the 12-B Coordinating Council and other friends of education in Midland on Saturday, May 17, for a “Walk for Education” to support adequate funding of our public schools.

By going to www.kidsnotceos.com, you’ll see how much money every school district and higher education institution in Michigan has lost over the past four years since Gov. Snyder has been Governor. There’s no better proof that this event needs your support.

Walkers will start at 10 a.m. from the Washington Square parking lot in downtown Midland behind the Kmart Plaza and end at the Tridge for a rally.

Everyone—teachers, administrators, board members, family members and friends of public education—are invited and encouraged to wear red. Participants are also asked to bring school supplies for students in participating schools.
