AYP Grant Program -

MEA is proud to announce the establishment of our new AYP Grant Program. For the 2009-10 school year, MEA may award grants up to $2,500 to selected affiliate applicants to provide professional development activities to assist schools in making AYP.

This program was created as an investment in our members’ ongoing work to enhance their professional practice and improve student performance. The MEA AYP Grant Program is designed to provide funding to support member-driven school improvement activities developed to positively impact student achievement. These activities may, include, but are not limited to: conferences, workshops, in-service sessions, research and other projects designed to improve student achievement and thereby aiding schools in their achievement of Adequate Yearly Progress.
