IPD Conference Cancellation
I am very sorry to report that we have cancelled the upcoming MEA Instruction and Professional Development (IPD) Conference which was scheduled for December 3-5, at the Kalamazoo Radisson.
The decision was made to cancel the Conference because of very low registrations to-date (much lower than is typical at this time at this time of year). We understand that school districts are pulling back on their funding of professional development opportunities as the economy has worsened. As we work to identify savings in the MEA budget, it became apparent the savings were greater to cancel the Conference, rather than to hold a Conference for very few people.
The PD/HR Department will notify all registrants (and refund registration fees) and trainers.
We very much appreciate your understanding.
2010 ESP Statewide Conference
You are invited to participate in the 2010 MEA ESP Statewide Conference to be held March 19-20, 2010 at the Somerset Inn, Troy.
If you wish to be considered as a presenter, please complete the Request for Proposals and return it to our office. You will be
notified whether or not your proposal has been accepted. Proposals may be submitted by mail, e-mail or fax and must
be postmarked/dated by October 23, 2009. You may submit one or more proposals and you may propose to present as an individual or as a member of a team.
2010 Summer Leadership Conference
You are invited to submit a proposal to present (or suggest a topic or presenter) at the 2010 MEA Summer Leadership Conference to be held July 27-29, 2010 on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University. If you choose, you may submit more than one proposal.
