Dear Editor,

These bills have nothing to do with education reform. They are another attempt to destroy neighborhood public schools and advance the cause of private businesses who only want to make a profit. These bills throw open the doors to more charter schools and vouchers. Again, the middle class is being asked to sacrifice so big corporations can make even more money.

Sincerely,

Dear Editor,

Lansing politicians seem determined to destroy my voice as a taxpayer.  Senate bills 618-624 are proof of that. I pay taxes which support my local school district. I have a voice in what happens in my neighborhood school. Now, this new legislation wants to silence me and sell my public school to a private company who will make all the decisions regarding curriculum, who attends my school, and who gets my money. Enough is enough!

Sincerely,
