Will Richardville and Snyder clash over "right to teach?"
At a televised town hall meeting in Grand Rapids, Gov. Snyder repeated his message that Right to Work isn't on his agenda, but this time in response to a question about Rep. Richardville's "right to teach" legislation.
"Hopefully, the Legislature knows how I feel about it and we're going to work through this in a positive fashion," Snyder replied when asked what he thought of the proposal.
Richardville has made it clear that his legislation is not tied to the seven-bill package of "education reform" bills (SB 618-624) introduced last week or of concern to private sector unions. His target is the MEA who he believes is using dues money--paid for by taxpayers--to put together "anti-Republican" lists with its recall efforts.
Richardville's bill is expected to be introduced soon.
