'Boost Breakfast' regional trainings feature national child nutritionist
Research shows that a successful school breakfast program improves student attendance, reduces classroom behavior problems, and help students do better academically. School employees are an integral part of such a program. That's why Michigan Team Nutrition and the United Dairy Industry of Michigan need your help.
The groups are sponsoring "Michigan Boost Breakfast" Regional trainings featuring national child nutrition expert, Dayle Hayes. Workshops will be held in Clare, Grand Rapids, Wayne, and Jackson from March 24-27. The workshops are free and include materials, breakfast and lunch. SCECHs are also available.
Schools are encouraged to register teams of teachers, administrators, food service directors, custodians, and parents, but individuals are also invited to attend.
