Top 10 Critical Education Issues for 2014

Education Week blogger, Peter DeWitt, is an education writer and a principal on leave from his position in New York. His articles have appeared in state, national and international education journals. His latest blog post reviews what he believes are the most critical issues facing education in 2014 that need our attention.

DeWitt defines "critical issues" as those that are important to education. He says, "They are the barriers that get in the way, or the important elements we need to focus on in order to move forward and offer better opportunities for our students."

His hope is that these issues will be critical enough to spark discussion and move us to positive solutions.
