This week at the NEA Representative Assembly in Minneapolis, 230 delegates from Michigan raised $74,793 for the NEA Fund, the federal PAC dedicated to helping elect friends of public education. Their contributions put MEA in fourth place among all NEA state affiliates for money raised at this year’s annual meeting (MEA President Paula Herbart and Michigan PAC Captain Julie Brill are pictured holding the certificate recognizing the delegation’s efforts).
Let’s honor their hard work and generous contributions by raising more money back home! Give today online at www.meavotes.org.
Delegates to the NEA RA heard all week what we’ve been saying back in Michigan all year: this election is critical for public education. We need everyone to do their part, including volunteering and voting (see below), as well as giving what they can to the MEA PAC and NEA Fund. Together, we can fight back against the destructive agenda of Betsy DeVos and her allies who have spent decades attacking public education in Michigan.
At www.meavotes.org, you can make either a one-time or a recurring monthly contribution to PAC that will go towards electing friends of public education like Gretchen Whitmer. Please contribute today!
