Erik Edoff
Erik Edoff serves as senior executive director of the Michigan Education Association, providing executive leadership for MEA, MESSA and MEA Financial Services.
A former teacher, MEA member and administrator, Erik spent his career in L’Anse Creuse Public Schools — the last seven years as superintendent — ensuring students get a great public education by working with educators, families and community leaders alike.
Erik’s tenure in L’Anse Creuse was defined by his collaborative work with local educators and their unions. No matter where someone came from in their worldview on public education or labor issues, Erik built a reputation for respecting others’ opinions and bringing people together to make decisions.
In addition to his role as superintendent, Erik has served as president of the K-12 Alliance for Michigan and the Macomb Association of School Administrators, and he was a member of both the Institute for Educational Innovation and the Educational Research and Development Institute. Erik earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and political science from Kalamazoo College, a master’s degree in educational administration and leadership from Michigan State University, and an education specialist degree in educational leadership from Oakland University.
