GOP gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon went on a Twitter rant last week, attacking public school educators and our union with a litany of lies.

Among many of Dixon’s false tweets was an attack on state Sen. Dayna Polehanki, D-Livonia, a former public school teacher. Dixon wrote the following:

“All I see is you standing by and carrying lazy union bosses’ water while Michigan’s education system robs our kids of their future.” — @tudordixon

MEA President Paula Herbart responded to Dixon:

“Lazy union boss here. Please teach middle schoolers for 20 yrs and get back to me.” — @PaulaMEAPres

Polehanki, a two-time teacher of the year awardee in New Haven Community Schools, also responded:

“Ms. Dixon drops her four kids off at their *private schools,* goes on Twitter rant about her disdain for public ed, and engages in fantasy that she will set foot anywhere near the MI Capitol. I look forward to delivering more record-setting school funding in Whitmer’s 2nd term!” — @SenPolehanki

This is just the latest in a line of attacks on school employees from Dixon, who falsely and fanatically claims educators are “indoctrinating” students and teaching “anti-American critical race theory” and “trans ideology.”

It’s clear that Tudor Dixon and her extremist allies shouldn’t be let anywhere near the Capitol. We need YOUR help to make sure it doesn’t happen.
