MEA is hosting three virtual events next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to kick off our Election 2022 work, including a special event Tuesday evening with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. See below for the rundown on the events and click the links to RSVP. We look forward to seeing you on Zoom!

 Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 6:30 p.m. – Election 2022 Kickoff with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer
MEA President Paula Herbart will ask our recommended gubernatorial candidate questions submitted by MEA members (suggest yours by registering now), and we’ll cover how you can help re-elect an ally to the governor’s office this fall.

 Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. – MEA-PAC “Telethon”
Help make calls (from the comfort of home using our virtual phone bank system) to fellow MEA members about the importance of giving to MEA-PAC to help friends of public education win in 2022. Join at 6 p.m. for a brief Zoom training on the quick and easy script and technology – then start making calls through 8 p.m. (All volunteers for this virtual “telethon” will get a special gift from MEA-PAC!)

 Thursday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. – Briefing on New Legislative Maps and MEA Screening & Recommendation Process
