We regret to inform you that the Statewide ESP Conference (March 13-14) and the Aspiring Educators/Early Career Educators Conference (March 21) are postponed due to precautions related to the coronavirus. In addition, numerous meetings and trainings are either postponed or cancelled. See the list below.
We are currently assessing viability of holding the MEA Representative Assembly and will be in touch with further updates as they become available.
The safety of our students, educators, staff, and our families is at the forefront of our minds. As of the date of this email, Michigan has two reported cases, and Governor Whitmer has declared a State of Emergency. One of the best ways to avoid the spread of the virus is to practice social distancing. While conferences and convenings are a valuable way for members to interact and learn from each other, safety is always our primary concern.
We hope to be able to reschedule these events in the near future when conditions change.
