Registration Open for Winter Webinar Series

Finding light and being the light during dark times. That’s the theme of MEA’s winter webinar series, “The Light of Winter Stars.” An offering of MEA’s Center for Leadership & Learning, this new series of peer-led, SCHEH-eligible webinars will run from January 18 through March 24.

Topics for this series include managing stress and anxiety (for both students and educators), education technology, core teaching practices, working with parents and more. Learn more about all the session offerings here.

Webinars run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings starting at 6 p.m. – you can register here today.

Recordings of previous MEA professional learning webinars are on the Center for Leadership & Learning’s new website at CLL.MEA.org, including a search engine that allows you to see all the training offerings available through your MEA membership.

The Michigan Department of Education is offering a free, SCECH-eligible virtual conference series, “The Role of Diversity within the Literature that We Teach.” Each session will feature one-hour keynote addresses from celebrated authors renowned for their work around diversity in literature. Keynote speakers will discuss the history, through their own lens, and purpose of diverse literacy materials in schools. The Jan. 27 session features author Shonda Buchanan.
