Due to the recent COVID surge, MEA’s annual Winter Conference was rescheduled to a free, virtual, evening format on March 1-3 that offers numerous free SCECH and ESP certification opportunities. MEA Statewide ESP Conference – March 18-19 (East Lansing)

Michigan Supreme Court Justice Richard Bernstein headlines the Statewide ESP Conference March 18-19 at MEA Headquarters in East Lansing. The first blind justice elected to the Supreme Court, Bernstein will discuss how educators in every job category helped him achieve his greatest potential.

MEA Aspiring and Early Career Educators Conference – March 19 (Virtual)

Aspiring and early career educators can sign up to receive conference offerings designed specifically for their special needs. The virtual Aspiring and Early Career Educators Conference on March 19 will support professional growth, offer helpful tips for working with students, and focus on personal healing – all at no cost to members in good standing.

Some fun surprises are planned alongside SCECH-eligible sessions on topics such as implementing restorative practices in the classroom, utilizing student-centered classroom management strategies, and teaching students to practice mindfulness, among others.
