Complete a Free, SCECH-eligible Module on Social-Emotional Learning

As a new school year begins, and the pandemic continues, students at every grade level will need an extra focus on social-emotional learning and health. The Michigan Department of Education is offering a free SEL training and encouraging educators to complete it by Labor Day.

The two-hour, SCECH-eligible online module hosted by Michigan Virtual is part of a campaign launched by MDE in March around the theme: “Children matter. You matter. Learn SEL!” The goal is to have the training completed by one school leader and two to four teachers per building in the state by the end of the holiday weekend.

More than 600 educators have completed the course since the campaign began. To learn more visit michigan.gov/mde-sel.
