Union What? Union Why? Join Us!
The strength of MEA is in our solidarity—that’s why we’re inviting potential members to join us in a discussion of union values in action this Thursday evening at 7 via Zoom.
At this town hall for potential members, educators who’ve not yet joined can learn from the comfort and privacy of home about why we need a union and the value of belonging. Please share this information with colleagues who aren’t yet MEA members!
As educators, we all know our public schools are the foundation of our democracy. From the beginning of this crisis, MEA members have responded to the needs of their communities with creativity and compassion, while banding together through our union to advocate for the health and safety of school employees and students.
Whether it’s bargaining a contract or crisis agreement, advocating for members’ rights and safety, or providing urgently needed professional development on remote teaching and learning, MEA members, leaders, and staff have worked tirelessly throughout this year in response to evolving conditions.
That’s what our union does every day, and it’s why we want to share our story with potential members to help them better understand why MEA matters and how they can join the fight for the future of public education.
Encourage your non-member colleagues to register today! While registration is required, the event will be a webinar-style meeting; only the presenters will be seen and heard. Participants will be able to ask and have questions answered in the chat.
